OTC Meets Work Ready Goal

An enthusiastic group of Okefenokee Technical College cosmetology and nail technology students “teamed up” recently to help OTC celebrate meeting an important Work Ready goal. The Governor's Office of Workforce Development sets Work Ready goals for established groups to help monitor testing and ensure Work Ready Goal Metdiversity. A goal of 91 was set for technical college graduates in Ware County, and during the month of August, OTC topped 95! According to Linda Zechmann, team leader for Work Ready Ware, the August 31 data shows a 104% completion rate for Okefenokee Tech. “This is really something to celebrate!”

OTC students and Work Ready staff participating in the celebration include the following Work Ready ladies: (front to back, L to R) Lillian Fitzpatrick, Rachel Baldwin, Kera Davis, Amber Morgan, Julie Murphy, Stacey Melton, Ansleigh Roberts, Gina Egenlauf, Linda Zechmann, Sara Jewell, Heather Allen, Brandi Simmons, Lucretia Davis, Tessa Hogan, Shawn Brinson, Sasha Thornton, Stacey Boyd, Audrey Lowman, and Tiffany Wells.
