Latheresa Bostick (third from left) and
Brian Cribb (second from right), were recently selected as the
winners of the 2nd Annual Poster Challenge Contest
sponsored by the Okefenokee Technical College Library and the
OTC Foundation.
The contest was open to all OTC students in
traditional PSY 101 and PSY 191 classes. Christine Whitley
(right), OTC psychology instructor; Wanda Jacak (second from
left), Director of OTC Library Services; and Cassie Clemons
(left), Library Assistant; coordinated the event. All three
staff members were on hand recently to congratulate the winners.
Bostick is a Ware County resident and is in
the Criminal Justice program. Cribb is a resident of Charlton
County and a drafting student. Both winners, Bostick and Cribb,
received a $75 bookstore voucher from the OTC Foundation to aid
in purchasing books and program-related supplies. “These two
students are hard workers and very creative,” stated Whitley.
The contest required that participants use
various media and technology to design and print a one-page
poster that introduces a book from the OTC Library. Cribb’s
design was selected as the best by OTC students, while Bostick
won over the faculty and staff. |
