Okefenokee Tech PBL Students Excel at Competition

Seven Okefenokee Technical College students competed in the Georgia Phi Beta Lambda South District Conference competition in Warner Robins recently, according to club advisors Leighan Sweat and Amanda Morris. The club brought home six certificates of award: one 1st place award, two 2nd place awards, and three 3rd place awards.PBL Competitors

OTC students swept the Network Design competition: Sean Johnson placed 1st, Brad Williamson placed 2nd, and Brandi Balbach placed 3rd. In Networking Concepts, Jesse Lee placed 2nd and Brad Williamson placed 3rd. In Computer Concepts, Elijah Cardwell placed third. 

“The event tests the participants’ business knowledge and skills and prepares them for the state competition in April,” stated Sweat. “I am very proud of all of them.”

Phi Beta Lambda is a postsecondary student organization that provides programs that are designed to foster the development of business leadership skills.
