Camden Wal-Mart Gives To OTC Adult Ed Program

This generous investment in literacy was awarded to the Charlton County Adult Education fund of the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation to help with financial and academic needs of Charlton County residents pursuing a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.

The Charlton County Adult Education program offers (1) assessment of skills, (2) counseling and advisement, (3) instruction in preparation for the GED test, (4) special reading instruction, and (5) computerized instruction in preparation for skills training and literacy. Instruction is provided at no cost to the student.

Students who earn their GED will receive a $500 HOPE voucher to go toward tuition and fees at a higher education institute. For more information, please contact Darrell Casey at (912) 496-4941.
