Bullock & Taylor Receive OTC Street Rods Scholarship

Thimothy Bullock (center) and Danny Taylor (right) were selected as recipients of the 2010 Okefenokee Technical College South Georgia Street Rods Scholarship. Both students were awarded $250 each to be distributed over two quarters, stated Cindy Tanner (left), Executive Director of the OTC Foundation. The scholarships were made possible by South Georgia Street Rods, Inc. Bullock resides in Ware County, has two young children, and is in the OTC automotive collision repair program where he has earned a place on the Academic Scholarship 2010Achievement List for the past three quarters. His instructor, Terry Simmons (second from left), was on hand to congratulate Bullock for his achievement. Taylor, also of Ware County, attended Bacon County High School and has one daughter, Ryalie. He is enrolled in the OTC automotive technology program because he loves working with his hands and taking things apart to see how they work. Taylor credits his father with developing his interest in repairing things. He also has a love for old cars. The classic Chevelle in the background belongs to Taylor. OTC automotive technology instructor, Larry Carr (second from right), congratulated Taylor for being selected for this honor. OTC President Dr. Gail Thaxton, OTC Foundation trustees, OTC staff and scholarship recipients wish to thank South Georgia Street Rods for supporting technical education and workforce development with their annual contributions.
