OTC Student Government Association Supports Humane Society

Okefenokee Technical College Student Government Association (SGA) members and advisors recently volunteered several hours of their personal time to assist at the Okefenokee Humane Society.  SGA volunteers organized animal pens, cleaned grounds, relocated construction materials, and spent time grooming and playing with the animals.  Prior to the visit, SGA members conducted a pet food drive at Okefenokee Technical College, which was hugely successful. The donated items, mostly large bags of dog food, cat food, and kitty litter, were taken to the Okefenokee Humane Society. Members of SGA would like to encourage everyone to consider adopting a pet from a local pet rescue shelter or humane society.
