Van Herrin Joins OTC Foundation Board of Trustees

Van Herrin was recently named as a member of the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees. Herrin is a businessman, currently working as general manager of Oce’ Canon Group Company. He served on the Board of Juvenile Justice under Governor Sonny Perdue for five years and on the Brantley County Board of Education for two terms. He and his wife, Sherri, have two children. The Herrin family attends Second Baptist Church. Van Herrin

“I appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation Board. It will give me the chance to learn more about higher education in Georgia and, most of all, help others.”

OTC Foundation trustees serve as advisors in the advancement of the college, planning and implementing resource development activities. Through an annual drive and other initiatives, the Foundation focuses on raising friends and funds for scholarships, program equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, and other emerging and existing academic initiatives and priorities that help students be successful.

On behalf of the trustees, Foundation Chair Larry Paulk welcomes Van Herrin to the OTC Trustee Board.
