OTC Forestry Students Plant Trees

Okefenokee Technical College forest technology students recently participated in a wildfire regeneration project in conjunction with Georgia Forestry Commission Staff Forester Joe Wall.  As part of the project, OTC forestry students re-planted approximately three acres of burned over land consumed in the raging fires from the summer of 2007.  According to OTC Forest Technology Instructor Tommy Peagler, the students battled knee-deep water from recent rains, but were glad to assist in the wildfire regeneration project at Dixon Memorial State Park near Waycross.Forestry Students
