OTC Students Selected for Bagwell Scholarship
Cindy Tanner, (left) Director of Resource Development at Okefenokee Technical College, recently presented Daniel Alderman (center), Alice Flaborea (right), and Bradley Williamson (not pictured) a scholarship check made possible by the Bagwell Family Scholarship fund. Forsyth County business and civic leader Tommy Bagwell and his wife, Chantal, established a $500,000 Bagwell Family Scholarship Endowment to provide scholarships for students attending technical colleges located near their family business locations. The family business, American Proteins, Inc., currently has three locations, including one in Alma, Georgia. Scholarship recipients are chosen using several criteria, including proximity to the company’s operation sites and academic success. Daniel (Environmental Horticulture), Alice (Radiologic Technology), and Bradley (Computer Information Systems – Networking Specialist) will receive $500 each.
