Okefenokee Technical College is seeking instructors to teach a dual-enrollment Health Occupations program.  The program curriculum will consist of specific courses contained in the Certified Nurse Assisting technical certificate of credit.  The program will be taught on-campus at Charlton County High School in Folkston, Georgia and Clinch County High School in Homerville, Georgia beginning in August 2007.

QUALIFICATIONS
Registered nurse currently licensed in Georgia.  A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required.  Individual must have completed courses comparable with the curriculum being taught and have experience/expertise in the area of the curriculum being taught.  Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned. Individual must have or attain the Train-the-Trainer certification through the Georgia Medical Care Foundation.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCES
At least three years of full-time, paid work experience within the past seven years in business, industry, or occupational education. Individual must have had experience in the long-term care setting.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and an in-depth understanding and experience with computers.  Teaching experience is preferred.

SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.  Benefits include paid state holidays, annual & sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.  This is a full-time 10-month position paid over a 12 month period.
