GOAL winners are selected at each of the state’s 33 technical colleges as well as the four Board of Regents colleges with technical education divisions.

		Batten Earns Electrical License Andy Batten recently passed the State of Georgia Unrestricted Electrical Contractor’s License exam. Batten is currently enrolled in the Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technology program at Okefenokee Technical College on the Alma Campus.

		Okefenokee Tech Will Benefit From DOL Grant Atlanta – The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and the Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium (GEICC) have received $989,995 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Labor to bolster efforts to meet the workforce needs in the state’s energy industries.

		Tom Davis Presented Award Tom Davis, former member of the Okefenokee Technical College Board of Directors, was presented a “Distinguished Service Award” by Dr. Gail Thaxton, president of OTC, at a recent meeting.
