Investing in
Your Future
There are a multitude of financial
aid options. Figuring out what’s out there for you, what you
qualify for, what best suits your needs and goals—that’s
the hard part. We understand that financing a college education
can be complicated and sometimes overwhelming. That’s
where OTC’s Financial Aid Office comes in. Let’s
face it; no one likes to talk about finances, but it is an important
part of the educational process. There is good news, though.
The people at OTC’s Financial Aid Services are willing
and ready to help.
HOPE
The fundamental aim of the financial aid program at OTC is
to make post-secondary education possible for students who
would be denied an education because of inadequate finances.
Financial Assistance
OTC has several types of financial assistance available
to help qualified applicants pay for their education. Sufficient
assistance is available so that no eligible student should
be denied the opportunity to enroll because of costs.
Due to the processing time for financial aid, applicants
should apply four to six weeks before the anticipated date
for starting their program at OTC. Grant programs operate
on an award year basis beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
Applicants for financial aid are required to apply or re-apply
each year in order to receive or continue receiving financial
aid.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for most types of financial aid, the student
must:
- Have completed or left high school
- Be at least 16 years of age

the Ability to Benefit (ATB) from a particular course of
study.
- Pursue a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of
credit in an eligible course of study
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
