Technical Certificate of Credit
The purpose of a technical certificate of credit (TCC) is to provide a structured sequence of credit courses that will enable individuals to be employed in an entry level position or to increase their proficiency in their current job.  Technical certificates of credit provide short-term training that will adequately prepare individuals for employment thereby meeting the needs of area businesses and industry.  TCCs are made up of credit courses selected from diploma programs and do not lead to a diploma or degree.  However, should a certificate completer decide to earn a diploma in a similar field, credit is given for all successfully completed TCC courses.  Certificate programs may also be used to add areas of specialization after the completion of a diploma or degree.
