OTC Local Policies and Procedures
Local Policy is set for items not covered by State Board policy. If local policies conflict with State Board policies, then State policies will prevail.

Local procedures are adopted by Okefenokee Technical College to supplement State Board policy.

Graduation
Upon completion of all academic requirements, a student will receive a diploma, provided that the student has not only satisfactorily completed all the academic requirements, but is also in good standing with the school.

An application to graduate may be obtained from the Registrar’s Office. This application must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by mid-quarter of the quarter before the student is scheduled to graduate. If a student chooses to participate in the graduation ceremony, a $35 marching fee is required to be paid at registration.

Certificates are issued upon completion of all required coursework. No fee is charged to receive a certificate.

Student Records
Academic records for program students are maintained by the Registrar's office and include transcript(s), enrollment verification, graduation evaluation, transfer credit evaluation, and Okefenokee Technical College academic record.
Procedures relating to the establishment, availability, and retention of student records are in accordance with the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended (FERPA), the State Board of Technical and Adult Education, and regulations as established by the State Board of Georgia.

Transcript Request
The Registrar maintains a permanent academic record. A student may request a copy of this record via transcript. Transcripts will be issued only upon written request of the student. Forms are available in Student Services or print the form below and mail or fax to Okefenokee Tech. A charge of $3 will be issued for each transcript. Please allow 48 hours for transcript requests to be processed. Transcripts will not be released if a student has an outstanding debt to OTC.
