Program Description
The Industrial Mechanical Technician certificate produces
graduates who are prepared for employment using the fundamental
mechanical maintenance skills. The overall objective is to
provide short-term training that will adequately prepare the
student for entry-level jobs. This certificate program will
provide knowledge, understanding, and skills in the occupational
areas of industrial safety, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps,
and piping systems.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

OTC Placement Exam
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$7 - $12 an hour
Job Market
Graduates with a Fundamental Mechanical Maintenance TCC are
trained to perform basic tasks involved with the service,
repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. This
certificate prepares someone for an entry-level job within
the mechanical field.

and possess troubleshooting abilities.
