Industrial Systems Technology, Diploma
Program Description
The Industrial Systems Technology program is designed for the student who wishes to prepare for a career as an Industrial Technician/ Electrician. The program teaches skills in Industrial Systems by incorporating course work and hands-on exercises. The program provides background skills in several area of industrial technology including basic electronics, industrial wiring, AC/DC motors, motor control systems, PLC’s, instrumentation, fluidpower, industrial mechanics, pumps and piping, and industrial computer applications.

Length of Program
Six quarters

Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

Entrance Requirements
OTC Placement Exam

Age
16 years of age or older

Education
High School Diploma or GED

Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course. A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.

Salary Range
$12- $22 per hour

Job Market
Opportunities for employment exist in virtually every industry. These include saw mills, paper mills, factories, and distribution centers among many others.
