Program Description
Gas Tungsten Arc Welder introduces students to gas tungston arc welding.
Program Length
A minimum of 17 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student should expect to complete requirements in 3 quarters.
Salary Range
$20,800 to $35,2360 annually
Career Opportunities
Welders perform welding (GTAW) on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum plate and/or pipe in all positions.
Tack welders make small welds to hold parts in place.
Welding operators operate machines and equipment.
Other jobs include fitters, and inspectors.
