Gas Metal Arc Welder prepares students for careers in gas metal arc welding.
Program Length
A minimum of 19 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student should expect to complete requirements in 3 quarters.
Salary Range
$16,640 to $33,280 annually
Career Opportunities
Welders perform welding (GMAW and FCAW) in all positions.
Tack welders make small welds to hold parts in place.
Welding operators operate machines and equipment.
Welders’ helpers maintain shop and equipment.
Other jobs include welder assemblers and fitters.
