Program Description
The purpose of the Electrical Technician TCC is to provide training
opportunities for persons needing employment skills. This entry-level
training in basic electrical wiring skills will enable them
to be employed in the manufactured housing or residential wiring
field.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

OTC Placement Exam
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED is not required.
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$15,500 to $19,000 annually
Job Market
Opportunities are available with construction companies, mobile
home industry, facility maintenance, and industrial sites.
Personal Traits Required
Important attributes for an electrical technician are good
eyesight, manual dexterity, hand eye coordination, critical
thinking skills, problem solving, and the ability to apply
technology to the work environment.
