Program Description
The purpose of the Electrician’s Assistant TCC is to provide
training opportunities for persons needing employment skills.
This TCC will expose students to the skills necessary to become
proficient in residential wiring, safety precautions, how to
interpret electrical terminology and diagrams and prepare them
to take the state license exam.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$11,500 to $16,000 annually
Job Market
Opportunities are available with construction companies, mobile
home industry, facility maintenance, and industrial sites.
Personal Traits Required
Important attributes for an electrician’s assistant
are good eyesight, manual dexterity, hand eye coordination,
critical thinking skills, problem solving, and the ability
to apply technology to the work environment.
