Program Description
The Automotive Brake Technician certificate is designed to
train students for entry-level employment in the automotive
industry as brake technicians and/or to retrain currently
employed technicians who lack these skills.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.
Entrance Requirements
OTC Placement Exam
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED is not required.
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
Starting Salary: $6-$8 an hour
Future Earnings: $12-$15 an hour

Personal Traits Required
An automotive brake technician must like hands on working
