Program Description
Air Conditioning Technician Assistant is a technical certificate of credit program designed to train individuals to assist a technician in his/her duties more efficiently by being knowledgeable of air conditioning theory and practical applications. Primary emphasis is to provide the student with basic skills and knowledge of tools, assembly, disassembly, and installation of air conditioning systems.

Program Length
A minimum of 18 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student should expect to complete requirements in 4 quarters.  

Salary Range
$6-7 per hour

Opportunities for employment exist in firms specializing in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, and in large plants which maintain their own heating and air conditioning maintenance personnel.
