Program Description
Air Conditioning Repair Specialist is a technical certificate
of credit program designed to provide basic training and/or
retraining in the principles of air conditioning, gas heating,
and heat pumps.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.
Entrance Requirements
OTC Placement Exam
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$ 8–10 per hour
Job Market
Opportunities for employment exist in firms specializing in
air conditioning service and installation.
Personal Traits Required
Mechanically inclined, self motivated, good work ethic, good
communication skills, and able to work with the public.
