The Radiologic Technology program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in Radiologic departments and related businesses and industries. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive a Radiologic Technology diploma, have the qualifications of a radiographer, and are eligible to sit for a national certification examination for radiographers.
Program Length
A minimum of 121 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student can expect to complete requirements in 8 quarters.
Salary Range
$29,000-$38,000 annually

The nation is currently facing critical workforce shortages in all areas of hospital operations, clinical (nurses, radiologic technologists and pharmacists).

Strong emphasis in sciences and math, ability to interact with patients and other allied health professionals, ability to operate and manipulate computerized equipment and machinery, ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, ability to lift 30 pounds, problem solving and critical thinking skills, emotional stability, ability to work in stressful environment and under direct supervision, caring, and compassionate.
