Program Description
The purpose of this program is to provide a quality didactic
and clinical education to enable completers of the program
to work at a level above the Certified Nurse Assistant.
OTC will train individuals
to have the skills to work with the disoriented patient,
provide some respiratory care, provide basic wound care,
provide IV
care, apply EKG leads, provide blood glucose monitoring,
and provide catheter maintenance.

Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.

An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.

Graduates can be employed at hospitals, doctors’ offices,
school nurse clinics, nursing homes, home health, and many
other public and private health agencies.
Personal Traits Required
A nurse technician must have good work ethics, be people oriented,
and possess great organizational skills.
