Program Description
Medical Coding provides a structured sequence of credit courses that will prepare
an individual to be employed as a medical coder. Health insurance and related
regulations of the health care industry promote the need for personnel skilled
in medical coding.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any
course. A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$17,000 - $19,500 annually
Job Market
Graduates may find employment at physicians’ offices
or hospitals. Employers may also include chiropractors, dentists,
and optometrists.
