Technical Certificate of Credit
Program Description This program covers both the U.S. Department of Transportation 1985 Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate Curriculum and the 1994 Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Curriculum. The EMT-Intermediate Program is designed to provide additional training and increased knowledge and skills in specific aspects of advanced life support above the basic level. Successful completion of the program allows the graduate to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT-Intermediate/85 certification examination and receive Georgia licensure as an EMT-Intermediate. Upon completion of EMS 1115, students would be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs EMT-Basic Exam.
Program Length
A minimum of 27 credit hours is required for graduation.
Length of program varies with student ability to schedule classes.
Salary Range
$20,700 - $37,300 annually
