Program Description
The Certified Nurse Assisting program was developed to enable
individuals to provide basic nursing care in the home setting,
nursing homes, or home health care agencies, under the supervision
of a licensed nurse.
Length of Program
Program length varies with student’s ability to schedule
classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.
Entrance Requirements
OTC Placement Exam not required
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$11,040 - $17,107 annually
Job Market
Graduates can be employed at hospitals, doctors’ offices,
school nurse clinics, nursing homes, home health, and many
other public and private health agencies.
Personal Traits Required
A CNA must have good work ethics, be people oriented, and
possess great organizational skills.
