Program Description
The purpose of the Personal Computer Operations TCC is to
provide short-term training that will adequately prepare the
student for entry-level microcomputer jobs.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.
Entrance Requirements
OTC Placement Exam
Age
16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$6 to $8 per hour
Job Market
The job market for PC Operations is good. Students can expect
to find employment in medical offices and business offices
as an office assistant or computer operator.
Personal Traits Required
A person pursuing a PC Operations certificate should show
initiative, be willing to continue education as technology
advances, be interested in computer application software,
be organized, have the ability to multi-task, display a professional
appearance, possess a strong work ethic, and have a desire
to work in the office environment.
