Program Description
General Office Assistant provides basic training in clerical
and secretarial skills. The certificate provides a credential
for individuals with limited schedules to attend college.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

Age
16 years of age or older
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
Average salary range is minimum wage - $9 per hour depending
on experience.
Job Market
The job market for the General Office Assistant is good. Opportunities
for part-time and full-time positions are available.

A person pursuing the General Office Assistant TCC should
want to work in an office environment, enjoy typing and producing
business documents, be a fast and accurate typist, be adaptable,
enjoy working with people, have a customer service attitude,

computer application software, and have a strong work ethic.
