Program Description
The purpose of the Advanced Windows 2000 Networking Administration
Specialist is to provide advanced training in computer information
systems networking for persons needing training in a brief
amount of time. It provides an educational goal for those
whose ability to take longer programs is limited by time pressure
and economic necessity. The objectives of the certificate
are to introduce students to the advanced concepts of network
administration, to enable students to install and configure
Windows NT networking software, and to provide an advanced
short-term academic credential with future program credit.
Length of Program
Length of program varies with the student’s ability
to schedule classes.
Entrance Date
Students are accepted quarterly.

16 years of age or older
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Advisor
An advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course.
A program advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Salary Range
$18,000 to as much as $40,000
Job Market
Graduates are eligible for employment in the areas of PC repair,
network support, network manager, network administrator, and
software specialist.

A person pursuing an Advanced Windows 2000 Networking Administration
Specialist certificate should show initiative, be willing
to continue education as technology advances, be interested
in computer application software, be organized, have the ability
to multi-task, display a professional appearance, possess
a strong work ethic, and have a desire to work in the office
environment.
